Digital twin of an apparatus for combined thermoelectric measurements

A high thermoelectric (TE) figure of merit zT materials enables a energy conversion efficiency. The quantity is defined by the Seebeck coefficient ( S), electric σ) and thermal κ) conductivity, absolute temperature T). In this paper, we report on computational model Combined ThermoElectric Measurement (CTEM) apparatus, which simultaneous characterization method capable measuring full set above-mentioned transport properties between −190 600 °C. Currently, measurement results show deviations due to unidentified error sources. As solution approach identifying possible sources, digital twin CTEM was developed. thermal-electrical circuit mainly consists sieving chains representing relevant sample holder components, in particular two metallic blocks TE sample.
